Local review draft — not final legal documentation. This page describes the intended policy. Some functions still need implementation and the legal checks are not complete. This draft is not ready for staging or live publication.
Version 0.3 — 9 October 2026
1. About SoloTeamCup
SoloTeamCup sells digital tournament credits that can be used to start online tournaments.
You can find our company details on our Contact and company details page. For questions, email support@soloteamcup.com.
SoloTeamCup sells to consumers, clubs and other organisations. We do not sell physical products, so nothing needs to be returned by post.
2. When is a credit used?
A credit remains unused until you start a paid tournament with it. Starting a paid tournament uses up one credit. Only the tournament owner can use a credit and start the tournament.
Deleting, interrupting or leaving a started tournament unfinished does not restore a credit. The right to a refund during the statutory cooling-off period continues after use under the arrangements below. If there is a verifiable system fault before the first round, support may make a traceable credit adjustment.
3. Statutory cooling-off period for consumers
Consumers generally have a statutory cooling-off period of 14 days for an online purchase, beginning on the day after the contract is formed. You can withdraw during that period without giving a reason. A longer period may apply if legally required information has not been provided.
To withdraw, email a clear statement to support@soloteamcup.com. You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this document. Please include your account email address and order number where possible. Not having an order number does not remove your right if the purchase can be identified in another reasonable way.
Support acknowledges receipt and handles refunds manually. The date you send your request determines whether it is within the deadline; later processing by support does not make a timely request late. The online withdrawal function is not yet available; you can submit your request by email.
4. Full refund during the cooling-off period
If you withdraw as a consumer during the statutory cooling-off period, SoloTeamCup refunds the full purchase price. This applies even if you have already used one or more credits from that purchase, including a three-credit pack. SoloTeamCup does not deduct any charge for that use.
We voluntarily offer clubs and other business customers a full refund if they request it within 14 days of purchase and have not used any credits from that purchase. This is a commercial arrangement, rather than a statutory consumer right.
5. Starting during the cooling-off period
You can start a paid tournament during the cooling-off period. Using credits does not end the consumer refund arrangement described above. During the statutory cooling-off period, SoloTeamCup does not claim that use ends the right to withdraw or charge for the part of the service already provided.
For business customers, the voluntary refund arrangement ends once the first credit from the purchase has been used. Mandatory statutory rights still apply.
6. After the cooling-off period
After 14 days, SoloTeamCup does not offer voluntary refunds for unused credits. Paid tournament credits do not expire while SoloTeamCup provides the service. Simply no longer wanting or needing the credits does not give a buyer a right to a voluntary refund after that period.
7. Deleting an account
Deleting an account is not the same as withdrawing from a purchase. Within the statutory or voluntarily offered period, you must first request withdrawal or a refund.
If a user chooses permanent account deletion after that period while paid tournament credits remain, those credits are forfeited only after the user has separately and explicitly confirmed this. No voluntary refund is provided in that case. Mandatory statutory rights continue to apply.
8. A fault or a service that has not been provided
The service must meet the standards a buyer can reasonably expect from SoloTeamCup. If the digital service does not work properly, contact support@soloteamcup.com as soon as possible. Explain what is going wrong and, if available, include the order number and tournament.
SoloTeamCup aims to resolve the problem free of charge within a reasonable time. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve fixing the fault, making a safe credit adjustment, providing the service again or finding another appropriate solution. If that is not possible, a consumer may be entitled to a price reduction, termination of the contract and a full or partial refund. These statutory rights are not excluded by the voluntary refund policy.
A problem demonstrably caused by a user failing to follow the technical requirements communicated in advance, or using the service incorrectly, is not necessarily SoloTeamCup’s responsibility.
9. If SoloTeamCup closes down
SoloTeamCup does not set a standard expiry date for paid tournament credits. If SoloTeamCup decides to permanently discontinue the service, it announces this in advance where reasonably possible and stops selling new credits in good time. Where possible, users are given an opportunity to use their credits before the service closes.
SoloTeamCup does not offer voluntary refunds when the business closes down. Consumers and other buyers may still be legally entitled to have the promised service provided, receive a price reduction, terminate the contract or obtain a refund if the promised digital service is no longer provided. SoloTeamCup honours those mandatory statutory rights.
10. Paying a refund
A refund that is due is paid without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of a valid withdrawal or after the right to a refund has been established. SoloTeamCup generally uses the same payment method as for the purchase and does not charge a refund fee. Another payment method is used only with the buyer’s agreement or where the original method is demonstrably no longer available.
A refund is linked to the original order in the credit records. SoloTeamCup may revoke credits from that order that are still available, to the extent that this forms part of the refund.
11. Contact and complaints
For questions, complaints and requests, email support@soloteamcup.com. Our company details are available on our Contact and company details page.
If a consumer cannot resolve an issue with SoloTeamCup, they can find information and report the issue to ACM ConsuWijzer. Consumers may also use the relevant out-of-court dispute resolution procedures or take legal action where the law allows.
